You'll be treated to a fine meal, great wine, swinging tunes, and superb company (bring your own) then our famous taxi drivers will be honored to look after you (service available Friday dinner and Saturday breakfast/brunch unless requested in advance).
The upscale Creole cooking is outstanding, but the hottest thing on the menu is Taxi and Jazz Cafe nightly traditional New Orleans jazz. A revolving roster features venerable legends playing buoyant, joyful music, heavy on the snare drum street rhythms and bounding with brass improvs and clarinet solos. The urge to stand and dance the "Taxi and Jazz Strut" is strong, but wait until dessert is done... Then all that is left to do is just take one of out Taxi's home.

We opened on July 14, 1958 as a small cafe playing the great music of the time. We have grown since then to a fine dining cafe but have kept the hallmark beats. In addition to the culinary delights and euphoric melodies we have a fleet of smart taxis groomed for your comfort and more than capable drivers who look forward to taking you home after your evening with us.
